I'm thinkin we can stick with the horror genre a little bit and base our story around the abominable snowman.
The pitch:
A team of scientists travel to the Himalayas to try and either prove the existence of or find the abominable snowman. They record their thoughts in personal journals and on online blogs that are meant to be viewed by other scientists and the general public.
Go ahead and share your ideas :)

Ok so this is hard. I've got three bad ones...
1. The characters were/are in a mental institutuion. One or two were recently released, and the correspondence is between the characters still in the loony bin and the free character(s).
2. Recent college graduates who have to find jobs in the real world keeping in touch.
3. Older siblings (maybe thirties?) who write to keep each other updated on their lives. This one would give us alot of flexibility, as the siblings could be male or female and live totally independent lives.
I really like all of yours, Theresa! I'm up for any of those.
Theresa #1 sounds interesting
I like Theresa's first and second idea; they sound cool. I like the second one better. It could be intereting to see kids first starting out in the real world.
I'm still sticking to the World War II genre. We could do something based in Europe, or medical personal based all around Europe.
I like Theresa's #2.
Alright, folks, our idea session is concluded. Please place your official votes!
I am going to vote for my #1. It keeps with the horror-ish feel of this unit.
making it official
i cast my vote for theresa's #2
I vote Theresa's number 2
Loony bin all the way
I'm not sure if my vote counts because (surprise, surprise) it's after 11 pm, but I vote number 1! My vote should count. Insomniacs are people too! (Though I'm more nocturnal than I am an insomniac. I sleep quite well in school. Rant over.)
looks like #1 wins.
